Justin Kabakjian
Senior Pastor
Justin Kabakjian became the Senior Pastor of Burning Hearts Community Church in January 2023 when the founding Pastor Doug Winnie retired. Justin is married to his wife Tera and has three young children. Justin was born and raised in Chester County Pennsylvania. Having grown up in a Baptist Church, in which his parents left when he was 12, he officially gave his life to Christ at the age of 17 and has not looked back since. He married his high school sweetheart Tera and they joined Youth With A Mission and served in foreign missions from 2006-2016.For five of those years, he led a Bible teaching team in South Africa that equipped local Pastors and Churches to understand how to study scripture.
In 2016 after having their first child they transitioned back into the US and Justin became an Associate Pastor at a local Church in Quarryville, Lancaster. Two more additions were added to the family during this season. During covid, Justin finished his Master's degree in Global Leadership at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Justin enjoys the hobbies of playing board games and connecting with people. He has a passion for God and his word, and desires to equip the Church to do our part in fulfilling the great commission.
Nate Garland began leading
music as Director of Praise in August of 2015. He is a Lancaster county native, and grew up under parents that believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ and shared that message with him. The Holy Spirit led him to a full belief and understanding of Christ's sacrifice in high school, and knew he wanted to be involved in ministry. While helping to lead both middle and high school youth groups, he married Melanie in 2012. They now have 3 children: Fiona, Piper, and Oliver. Nate loves his Burning Hearts family and has enjoyed every minute of being able to not only sing with, but be apart of a congregation that loves the Lord and also be a part of their lives - even as they encourage him.

Nate graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Bible from Lancaster Bible College. He has pursued music, drama, and theater, as well as more opportunities to assist in various ministries. He enjoys all things creative, and desires to use his gifts for the glory of God and the advancement of the Gospel. In his downtime, Nate enjoys time with friends and family, writing music and stories, watching YouTube documentaries on topics he has never heard of, and playing games.

Both Mark and Dave have served as Elders for Burning Hearts for several years. The hearts they have for the church is such a blessing to our church family.
